The High Place

#0739 – September 11, 2011

Even in the Old Testament, God wanted to be more than an “emergency God” for His people. By dwelling in His presence, they experienced His protection and care, but beyond this, they became an active part in what He was doing on the earth. The record of Elijah in I Kings 17 and 18 is an example of what can happen when just one man dwells on the “high ground” and, by believing, participates in what God wants to do.

How much more should this lifestyle be the norm for the church, for we are seated in a much higher place than the Old Testament saints.
